Job Purpose

BTIG seeks an Associate to join the Cash Equities Operations team. In this role, the ideal candidate will be supporting a broad range of cash equities business - PT, DMA and the High Touch desk, as well as handling account opening and trade life cycle processing.

Duties & Responsibilities

  • Coordinate between Operations, Sales, and Compliance teams to ensure timely and efficient onboarding of new clients
  • Perform daily activities relating to client account opening, trade booking, reconciliation and ensure all daily activities and controls are completed on a timely manner
  • Trade allocation and confirmation generation to clients
  • Monitor and follow up unmatched trades and fail management
  • Work closely with Finance team for client’s payments
  • Participate in projects, change initiatives and office administration
  • Drive the implementation of a front to back model to improve client experience and operational efficiency

Requirements & Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree
  • 3-5 years of experience in securities products, an operations background and client facing experience is preferred
  • Understanding of the trade life cycle, including onboarding
  • Ability to work both independently and in a collaborative environment
  • Self-motivated approach to work with a high work ethic and superior attention to detail
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Must work collaboratively, explain and challenge as appropriate
  • Problem solving skills to identify, understand and address operational and technical issues
