ESF Wu Kai Sha International Kindergarten is seeking a temporary Vice Principal/PYP Curriculum Coordinator to join our exceptional team of highly qualified and experienced educators. The ideal candidate will be a strong pedagogical leader with a profound understanding of Early Years philosophy and the IB Primary Years Programme (PYP). They will be responsible for articulating a shared vision and strategic development plan for the school and guiding colleagues in achieving these goals.

Located in Ma On Shan, ESF Wu Kai Sha International Kindergarten offers inspiring learning experiences for children aged 3-5 years. Our inquiry-based curriculum encourages the exploration of relevant concepts through child-centred play, real-life experiences, and focused learning engagements, enabling children to develop a rich understanding and a diverse range of skills across all areas of learning.

The contract period for this position will be from August 2025 to March 2026. Applicants must be a permanent Hong Kong resident or possess a valid visa to work in Hong Kong.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and articulate a shared vision for the school, along with the capability to create a comprehensive strategic development plan
  • Lead the implementation of the IB Primary Years Programme (PYP), aligned with PYP standards and early childhood best practices
  • Foster a collaborative learning community that encourages inquiry and innovation
  • Ensure high- quality teaching and learning standards through effective evaluation and feedback practices
  • Design and facilitate professional development for staff
  • Cultivate the conditions for staff members to collectively achieve strategic goals 
  • Oversee the daily operations of the kindergarten, ensuring a smooth and effective school environment.
  • Perform additional duties as needed

Requirements:

  • Strong understanding of Early Childhood Education principles and the IB Primary Years Programme (PYP)
  • Experience in coaching and/or mentoring educators advantageous 
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Early Years Education or equivalent for teaching children aged 3-5 years
  • Permanent residency or valid work visa for Hong Kong
