Assistant Manager (Publicity) (Wan Chai;1 year contract;$30K)
Assist Managers in implementing marketing and publicity strategies to publicise the 15th National Games, the 12th National Games for Persons with Disabilities and the 9th National Special Olympic Games for the National Games Coordination Office (Hong Kong);
Create social media contents by various means including but not limited to desk research, outreach to sports-related organisations, and collate returns from internal and external stakeholders for posting on social media (including photo and video shooting, editing and copy writing);
Work offsite in supporting the execution of publicity collateral, exhibitions, athletes’ interviews, site visits, and events;
Manage social media platforms (Facebook, Instagram, etc.) and prepare content calendars by liaising with different government bureaux/departments;
Work with designers on the development of final social media contents including visuals and videos, etc.;
Prepare reports, presentation decks, meeting folders, and set up for meetings;
Perform any other duties assigned by supervisor(s) / Government representative(s); and
Required to work on irregular hours occasionally.
Requirements
Bachelor degree from a Hong Kong university or equivalent, preferably in Creative Media, Digital Media, Communication, Journalism, Public Relations, Translation or related discipline;
At least five years’ post qualification work experience in content creation and copywriting, collateral design and development liaison, media buy, new media, digital and social media marketing, etc., with at least three years’ social media experience, preferably with work experience in the Government or public sector, and sports and leisure sectors;
Proficient in various computer applications, including MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and familiar with social media platforms such as Facebook, Instagram, Xiaohongshu, WeChat, Weibo, Mini Programme, etc.;
Basic knowledge in Canva, Adobe Photoshop, Adobe Illustrator, Adobe Premiere Pro and After Effects would be advantageous;
Excellent command of written and spoken Chinese and English; and
Excellent presentation and interpersonal skills, self-motivated, well organised, a good team player with can-do mindset.
