Your new role:
- Assess and improve the organisation's security, meeting regulatory standards.
- Implement measures to enhance security, ensuring compliance with laws and governance.
- Act as the contact point with governmental bodies for collaboration and incident reporting.
- Create and maintain a response plan to manage cybersecurity incidents.
- Provide regular updates to IT management on risks and incidents.
- Communicate effectively with stakeholders to manage expectations.
- Ensure third-party vendors adhere to cybersecurity standards.
- Promote cybersecurity awareness and best practices through training.
What you'll need to succeed:
- Bachelor's degree in IT, Cybersecurity, or a related field; a Master's degree is preferred but not required.
- At least 10 years of IT experience, including 5 years in security governance or management roles.
- Relevant certifications such as CISSP, CISM, CISA, or equivalent.
- Strong knowledge of security frameworks (e.g., NIST, ISO 27001), risk management, and cybersecurity threats.
- Knowledge of laws, regulations, and standards related to cybersecurity.
- Proven ability to lead teams and achieve goals.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, able to explain technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
