Vice President – Strategic Event lead, Asia Pacific

A prestigious global financial services firm is on the lookout for an accomplished Vice President – Strategic Event Lead to oversee its Asia Pacific event portfolio. This senior leadership role offers the opportunity to manage an extensive portfolio of high-stakes events that drive business outcomes, influence key decision-makers, and strengthen client relationships.

As the strategic head of event management, you will be responsible for managing a multi-million-dollar budget and delivering a wide array of impactful events. You will work closely with internal stakeholders to develop event strategies that align with the company’s growth objectives, while utilizing analytics to continuously refine and enhance future activities.

Responsibilities:

• Take charge of a multi-million-dollar event portfolio, overseeing 150 events annually across various business units.
• Develop and implement annual event strategies that drive business objectives and foster growth.
• Analyze post-event data to influence and improve future event planning and execution.
• Leverage your network to identify and secure new business opportunities, collaborating across departments to achieve success.
• Build and maintain relationships with key senior stakeholders, including regional and country CEOs, COOs, and business leaders.
• Partner with external vendors and event partners to ensure the successful execution of events that meet financial and brand objectives.

Qualifications:

• Extensive experience in managing large-scale events within the financial services industry, with strong skills in budgeting, logistics, and stakeholder management.
• A strategic mindset with a proven ability to oversee complex projects and drive measurable results.
• Outstanding communication and relationship-building abilities, with the skill to influence and advise senior executives.
• Deep familiarity with key markets in Asia Pacific
• Native proficiency in English; additional language skills in Cantonese, Mandarin, or Japanese are highly desirable.
• Proficiency with CRM systems, marketing KPIs, and post-event performance analysis.
