Position Overview

We are looking for an experienced Legal Counsel to join our team, focusing on legal and regulatory compliance matters within the stablecoin and digital currency space. As a key member of the legal team, you will be responsible for handling day-to-day legal matters, providing legal opinions on new business initiatives, conducting legal research, and ensuring compliance across multiple jurisdictions. You will play a critical role in helping the company navigate the regulatory landscape and providing legal support for our innovation in the stablecoin and digital asset sectors.

Key Responsibilities

• Legal Support : Provide legal support on day-to-day matters, including contract drafting and review, legal risk assessments, and compliance checks.
• Regulatory Compliance : Monitor global legal and regulatory developments in the stablecoin and digital currency sectors, providing timely compliance advice and ensuring the company’s operations meet relevant regulations.
• Legal Advice on New Business : Provide legal opinions and advice for new products, businesses, and projects, particularly related to stablecoin issuance, crypto asset regulation, and financial services.
• Legal Research & Analysis : Conduct cross-border legal research, analyze regulatory developments, and provide strategic insights for navigating various jurisdictions' legal environments.
• Compliance Management & Training : Assist in building and enhancing the company's internal compliance framework, providing relevant compliance training to ensure that employees understand and adhere to applicable regulations.
• Cross-Department Collaboration : Work closely with other departments (e.g., Product, Technology, Operations) to ensure the company’s products and services are implemented within a compliant and legal framework.

Requirements

• Educational Qualifications: A minimum of a Bachelor’s degree in Law (LLB). An LLM or JD degree in the US, the UK, or a common law jurisdiction is preferred.
• At least 2-5 years of legal experience in the fintech, digital currency, blockchain, or related sectors, with prior experience in stablecoin or cryptocurrency projects being a strong plus.
• In-depth knowledge of the legal and regulatory landscape for digital currencies and fintech, particularly regarding global regulatory compliance issues.
• Excellent legal analysis and problem-solving skills, with the ability to provide clear and actionable legal solutions for complex issues.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively across cross-functional teams. Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Experience in handling cross-border legal matters, with the ability to conduct efficient legal analysis and compliance research across different jurisdictions.
• A passion for the cryptocurrency, blockchain, and fintech industries, with a desire to stay updated on industry trends and regulatory developments.

Preferred

• A deep understanding of stablecoin and cryptocurrency legal and compliance policies.
• Ability to handle complex cross-border legal matters and familiarity with regulatory requirements across different jurisdictions.
• Ability to work independently and efficiently in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment.
• Exposure to cross-jurisdictional work across Asia and America is highly preferred.
• Fluency in English is required; proficiency in Chinese is a significant advantage.
