Job Description
Role
The team currently covers a wide spectrum of businesses including Equities, Fixed Income, and Investment Banking. The role offers the opportunity to obtain exposure to all these different areas, although this would be achieved in phases over time. The role will require the candidate to be very hands-on to help the team with daily P&L production as well as month end processes. There will be regular direct interactions with different stakeholders including Trading, Operations, Risk, IT, and other Finance teams locally and in the UK/US.
Key Responsibilities
Daily work includes:
- Flash v Actual Analysis
- P&L analysis and commentaries
- FOBO Review
- Inventory Reporting
- T0 Reporting
Month End work includes:
- Balance Sheet substantiation
- Reconciliation of reported P&L to ledger
- Assistance in the IPV process
- Provide useful MI data to the COO team
Additional responsibilities:
- Active involvement in enhancements and development of process/system flows to ease automation of P&L production
- Ad hoc management reporting
- Contribute to new business initiatives and testing
- Interaction with the regional Cobrand partners
Additional Skills
The following skills and experience are required for this role:
- Qualified Accountant
- PC experience
- Strong Excel knowledge
- Strong analytical skills to rationalise existing processes
- Excellent communication skills and ability to develop strong working relationships
