Are you a highly motivated and talented salesperson with at least one year of experience in advertising, event sponsorship, or B2B market? Are you positively bursting with ambition, energy, enthusiasm and a “whatever it takes” attitude? If so, we want to speak to you.


Lighthouse Independent Media is looking for a highly motivated, ambitious, outgoing and enthusiastic advertising and sponsorship Business Development Manager to increase revenue for our media and events business, get promoted and take your career to greater heights.

Responsibilities:

·        Growing media sales and events sponsorship revenue

·        Achieving and exceeding personal and team sales targets

 

Key result areas:

·        Sales activity – telephone calls, face-to-face meetings and proposals

·        Advertising revenue – online and offline advertising

·        Events revenue – sponsorship on awards, conferences and custom events

·        Client service – taking ownership of an established client base

·        Business development – bringing in new business from new clients

 

Required skills:

·        Degree holder

·        Minimum of 1 year sales experience in media / digital advertising, event sponsorship, or B2B product

·        New client acquisition experience, a solid understanding of the corporate / B2B sales process

·        Excellent core sales skills – presenting, closing and objection handling

·        Experience building relationships with top decision makers (C-suite, VP’s, Directors) – experience selling to agencies would be a plus

·        Strong understanding of marketing, human resources, media, agencies and consulting firms would be a plus

·        Strong written and verbal communication skills

·        Strong interest in the media industry
