As an Engineer focused on engineering development, you will play a key role in promoting new technologies, enhancing maintenance quality, and ensuring the maintenance practice aligns with industry advancements and standards. In addition, the role supports the professional growth of the company’s engineering workforce, ensuring they are equipped with the skills and knowledge required for modern vehicle maintenance. You will be responsible for delivering the training programs, developing the company’s training center, and fostering the development of apprentices and trainees, as well as performing internal audit for the engineering function. Your efforts will ensure that our workforce remains ahead of industry trends by integrating the latest automotive technologies and ensure a high standard of engineering talents across the company.

The role:

  • Lead initiatives to integrate modern automotive technologies into the company’s maintenance practices, focusing on improving efficiency, safety, and reliability
  • Collaborate with engineering team to develop and support the development of maintenance procedures that align with the latest industry standards
  • Identify and evaluate innovative tools and systems to optimize workflow and ensure consistent high-quality maintenance across the fleet
  • Develop and implement training programs for various levels of the engineering team
  • Oversee the development and continuous improvement of the training center, and ensure the center is equipped with modern training tools
  • Mentor Automotive Trainees and Apprentices to foster the culture of engagement, learning, and continuous improvement
  • Conduct promotion assessments and assist in recruitment interviews for engineering positions

Skills and attributes:

  • Higher Diploma in Mechanical, Electrical, or Automotive Engineering, or equivalent
  • At least 4 years of experience in automotive, vehicle engineering, workshop operations or equivalent
  • Experience in designing, planning, and organizing training programmes is an advantage
  • Proficient in video editing software is an advantage
  • Strong communication skills, both in spoken and written Chinese and English, with the ability to effectively present complex technical information
  • An innovative mindset, with a passion for continuously improving training programmes and maintenance processes
