The Role
The Purchasing Manager will be integral to our operations, focusing on the balance of securing the best quality products at the most competitive prices. With a keen understanding of market trends, the ideal candidate will be proficient in forecasting future product demands, ensuring our product offerings align with evolving market needs.
Key Responsibilities
- Strategic Procurement Leadership : Utilize extensive merchandising experience to lead procurement strategies that drive product offerings, ensuring alignment with market trends and sales objectives.
- Process Optimization : Streamline procurement processes to enhance efficiency and maximize operational capabilities across all platforms, including B2B and online procurement systems.
- Cross-Departmental Collaboration : Work in tandem with the sales and finance departments to manage budgets effectively, foster cost-saving initiatives, and support sales-driven projects.
- Supplier and Team Management : Develop strong, collaborative relationships with suppliers and warehouse staff in China, while leading an internal team to foster a culture of clear communication and collective success.
- Negotiation and Sourcing : Apply expert negotiation skills to source high-quality products at competitive prices, balancing cost with customer and company requirements.
- Forecasting and Inventory Management : Implement advanced forecasting techniques to predict market shifts and demand, ensuring strategic product sourcing and inventory optimization.
Requirements
- A Bachelor's degree in Business, Supply Chain, or a related field is preferable. Candidates with DSE, HKCEE, or equivalent qualifications will also be considered.
- 6-8 years of experience in purchasing, supply chain, management, or a related field.
- Proficient in Cantonese and Mandarin; good command of reading and writing in English.
- Proven leadership capabilities and project management experience.
- Exhibits strong problem-solving, negotiation and technical skills, with a detail-oriented and analytical mindset.
Technical Skills
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and Word.
- Ability to create impactful presentations and documents is a plus.
- Familiar with SAP for business operations management.
