Position: Project Manager (Event Management) - Outdoor Education
Reporting Line: Director of AISL Outdoor
Job Purpose:
The Project Manager is responsible and support the successful planning and execution of summer and winter camp programmes. This role involves managing all logistical and operational aspects, from participant registration to post-program evaluation. By ensuring smooth coordination and a safe, engaging experience, the Project Manager plays a key role in delivering high-quality camp programmes.
Responsibilities:
Strategic Focus
- Oversee all camp logistics, ensuring efficient resource allocation and timely service delivery.
- Lead participant registration, maintain clear communication, and address concerns.
- Enforce safety standards, coordinate emergency services, and conduct regular safety checks.
- Recruit and train volunteers, to support manage camp staff, ensuring team readiness.
- Resolve operational issues and implement crisis management when needed.

- Camp management and logistical support.

Operational Focus
- Efficient camp operations involve managing logistics such as transportation, accommodation, catering, and equipment.
- Building strong vendor relationships and ensuring effective contract management are key.
- The participant experience is enhanced through accurate registration, clear communication, and informative orientation sessions.
- Safety and compliance are ensured through strict protocols and regular monitoring of potential hazards.
- Staff coordination includes recruiting of volunteers, and to support managing camp personnel, while effective on-site problem solving and crisis management keep operations running smoothly.
- Continuous improvement is driven by post-camp evaluations and administrative efficiency.

- To handle ad-hoc tasks as assigned.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Education, hospitality, event management, or related field or related discipline
- Minimum 5 years of proven experience in. managing and coordinating large-scale events, camps, or similar programmes.
- Camp education event management
- Strong organisational and multitasking skills with the ability to prioritise and meet deadlines.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively interact with diverse stakeholders.
