Our client is seeking a highly motivated and innovative Conference Producer to spearhead the creation and delivery of conference programs and events. This role is integral to developing comprehensive content and event strategies, ensuring alignment with strategic visitor experience goals.



The successful candidate will possess a deep understanding of conference and events production and have a passion for curating engaging content and events that reinforce the company's brand reputation for thought leadership and visitor engagement.

Overall Responsibilities



Speaker and Content Research (30%):


  • Conduct thorough research to identify topics and evaluate potential speakers who align with the content strategy and event objectives
  • Maintain awareness of industry trends, climate, players, and issues to ensure content relevancy and drive growth.
  • Source industry input to ensure content relevance and incorporate real-world feedback, forming advisory groups as needed.



Speaker Management and Conference Implementation (30%):

  • Manage the overall speaker engagement process, including overseeing rehearsals and technical testing, and providing onboarding support for speakers and moderators.
  • Work closely with the sales team and sponsors to fulfill content components of live sponsorships and develop pre-sale event concepts.
  • Provide quality control for programs by handling budgets, staff, activities, and the final product, sourcing and negotiating with vendors and suppliers.
  • Cultivate lasting relationships with speakers and partners



Events Management & Execution (40%):

  • Plan and manage live special events, including but not limited to networking events, themed breakfast & luncheons, technical tours, award presentations & ceremonies. Ensuring integration with broader content initiatives, including AV production, run of show, and staffing plans.
  • Manage the administration of designated programs within time limits and on budget.
  • Follow through and conduct pre- and post-event evaluations and reports; propose ideas to enhance event quality and success.
  • Conduct data analysis and competitive intelligence to maintain content relevancy and foster a culture of continuous excellence.
  • Ideate and develop additional projects, such as live streams, webinars, and seminar events, to expand audience engagement.
  • Undertake additional tasks as required.



Qualifications

  • Proficiency in written and spoken Chinese Mandarin & English is critical for the Trade Show in China
  • Bachelor's degree in Events, Communications, Journalism, Marketing, or related area, or commensurate experience.
  • At least 5+ years of experience in content research & development, live event planning & management.
  • Excellent project management, analytical, and problem-solving skills with attention to detail and ability to manage multiple projects.
  • Prior knowledge in content research, editorial & event planning within the IT, financial institutions, enterprise industry and emerging technologies (AI, IoT, etc) would be a plus.
  • Prior experience in content & event planning in China would be a plus.
  • Experience working with content sponsors to deliver high-quality, event experiences.
  • Willingness to travel domestically and internationally. Represent the company at industry and association events, requiring approximately 20% travel.
  • Strong communication, interpersonal skills, and ability to build lasting relationships with speakers and partners.
  • Ability to work in matrix environment and with global teams.
  • Proficiency in Zoom, Microsoft Office Suite, and other relevant technology.
