Responsibilities

  • Provide a full range of financial and deal development services to the Corporation’s new business ventures and investment projects in Hong Kong and other markets with a strong focus on Mainland China
  • Responsible for leading the core deal teams for rail and/or property investment opportunities to perform financial analysis, due diligence, deal structuring and negotiation, assist and monitor project implementation and performance during its operational phase
  • Act as a key member of the investment deal team, working closely with other functional representatives to develop the new business and negotiation strategies, drive the deals from their origination to closure and manage project documentation
  • Ensure financial feasibility of the new business ventures and investment projects in Hong Kong, Mainland China and overseas is properly assessed, together with a comprehensive analysis of the project revenue and costs as well as their associated risks such that the impact on the financial standing of the Corporation are understood and quantified
  • Offer professional advice on appropriate financial structure of new business ventures and investment projects in Hong Kong, Mainland China and overseas including their financing, taxation, shareholding structures, cost effectiveness with close partnership with Treasury and other internal stakeholders such as legal team, as well as external consultants if required
  • Support senior management to develop strategies, financial projection and implementation to ensure strategic fit and overall growth of Hong Kong, Mainland China and overseas business in order to achieve corporate long term objectives
  • Manage a team of professionals including resources planning, staff performance and development, and enhance team efficiency and effectiveness with the use of technology and innovation

Requirements

  • Degree in a related discipline
  • A minimum of 15 years’ relevant experience, of which 6 years should be at managerial level
  • Professional membership in accountancy or corporate finance with good understanding of financial modelling and project evaluation
  • Solid experience in business analysis, contract negotiation, strategy development and investment projects, preferably gained in infrastructure and property industry with exposure in international/ Mainland China business
  • Strong analytical, stakeholder management and communication skills
  • Excellent command of both written and spoken English and Chinese (including Mandarin)

Remarks

  • Occasional business travel is required
