About The Role

The Global Production and Sourcing Director plays a pivotal role in developing and executing sourcing strategies that align with company goals. Based in Hong Kong , this role oversees the China team , ensuring high-quality, cost-effective, and timely product manufacturing. The ideal candidate will have deep expertise in global supply chains, supplier negotiations, and production optimization, driving efficiency and innovation across the sourcing process.

Responsibilities

• Lead and mentor a team of sourcing, compliance, and production professionals, fostering professional development and ensuring seamless collaboration.
• Partner closely with design, merchandising, and operations teams to align production strategies with business objectives, ensuring a smooth transition from product concept to market launch.
• Develop and execute global sourcing strategies, identifying and building strong partnerships with suppliers and manufacturers worldwide.
• Negotiate contracts, terms, and pricing to secure optimal costs and delivery schedules while maintaining quality standards.
• Implement and enforce quality control measures, ensuring compliance with company and regulatory standards.
• Assess and mitigate supply chain risks, proactively addressing potential disruptions to maintain continuity in production.
• Continuously optimize sourcing and production processes to improve efficiency, reduce lead times, and drive cost savings.
• Travel regularly to supplier factories worldwide to assess production capabilities, strengthen partnerships, and identify opportunities for efficiency improvements, cost savings, and process optimizations at the factory level.
• Stay ahead of industry trends, technological advancements, and regulatory requirements to enhance sourcing and production strategies.
  
  

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business, or a related field (Master’s degree preferred).
• Minimum of 8 years of experience in global sourcing, production, and supply chain management.
• Strong knowledge of international supply chains, logistics, and trade compliance.
• Proven track record in supplier negotiations, cost management, and strategic sourcing.
• Excellent project management, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, multicultural environment.
