Aster Recruiting is partnering with a well-established asset manager to recruit a talented (Assistant) ETF Portfolio Manager to join their dynamic team in Hong Kong.

In this role, you will be instrumental in managing ETF portfolios, developing trading strategies, and supporting the growth of the ETF platform. This is an excellent opportunity to leverage your expertise in financial markets and contribute to the development of innovative investment solutions.

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage ETF portfolios, including daily activities, trade execution, balancing, corporate actions, and portfolio risk management.
• Conduct pre-trade analysis, develop trading strategies, and perform post-trade analysis to maintain the performance of ETFs.
• Assist in developing and enhancing portfolio management processes, systems, and tools.
• Identify new investment opportunities and help develop new ETF products.
• Support index creation, maintenance, and launch of new ETF strategies.
• Act as a point of contact for primary and secondary market ETF trading.
• Support the ETF Team in building out the platform for the investment process and ETF ecosystem.
• Collaborate with Product and Sales teams to respond to client queries and participate in new product launches and business development activities.
• Build relationships with internal teams (trading, operations, technology, distribution channels, strategists, and other investment teams) to support the index business.
• Communicate investment strategy and performance results to clients as required, and provide technical support on index concepts to client-facing groups.

Required Skills & Experience:

• Education: Bachelor's or Master's degree in Finance, Mathematics, Computer Science, Economics, or a related field.
• At least 5+ years of experience in ETF management, portfolio management, or fixed income investments (candidates with less experience will be considered for the Assistant ETF Portfolio Manager role).
• Understanding of ETFs, portfolio management, and financial markets is essential.
• Experience in fixed income and derivatives (futures, options, etc.) is preferred.
• Basic knowledge of programming (Python, R, SQL, VBA) is a plus.
• Familiarity with financial tools (Bloomberg, FactSet, Wind) and portfolio management systems is beneficial.
• Strong analytical skills with the ability to work with large datasets and build predictive models.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills for teamwork, reporting, and client interaction.
• High level of attention to detail, self-motivation, and a strong work ethic.
• CFA, FRM, or similar professional designation is preferred.
• Experience in managing ETF funds and knowledge of index methodologies is highly valued.
