Our client is a leading organisation in the logistics and transportation industry, seeking a strategic and analytical Senior Terminal Planning Officer. This role is crucial in participating in terminal development and upgrade projects, ensuring cost-effectiveness and efficiency, and collaborating with various stakeholders.
Your new role
- Engage in terminal development and upgrade projects in Hong Kong and Mainland China.
- Participate in the planning, design, and execution phases of terminal projects, ensuring alignment with organisational goals and regulatory requirements.
- Assist in the preparation of project timelines, budgets, and resource allocation plans.
- Conduct thorough analysis to define medium to long-term terminal upgrade, improvement, and expansion plans.
- Develop strategic initiatives to enhance terminal operations, increase capacity, and improve service quality.
- Identify potential risks and develop mitigation strategies to ensure project success.
- Work closely with internal and external parties, including consultants, government authorities, and other stakeholders, to ensure project success.
- Perform statistical analysis, cost-benefit analysis, and workflow analysis to prepare comprehensive project proposals for equipment and infrastructure projects.
- Utilise data modelling and simulation techniques to forecast project outcomes and optimise resource utilisation.
- Prepare detailed reports and presentations to support decision-making processes.
- Monitor compliance throughout the project lifecycle and implement corrective actions as needed.
What you'll need to succeed
- Degree in Operations Research, Industrial Engineering, Quantitative Analysis, Operations Management, Logistics Management, or a related discipline.
- At least 2 years of relevant experience in project planning, execution, or related duties.
- Proficiency in written and spoken English and Chinese (including Putonghua).
- Proficiency in quantitative analysis is preferred.
- Good communication and documentation skills.
