Major Duties and Responsibiliti es

The appointee will assist the Principal Investigator in the research project “Study on the Relationship between Tonal Prosody and Lyricism of Ci Poetry: Focusing on Liǔ Yǒng, Zhōu Bāngyàn, Jiāng Kuí, Zhāng Yán” (Project No. R6677). The appointee will be responsible mainly for the following:

  • Collecting, translating and analyzing research materials;
  • Assisting the project application; and
  • Performing other tasks related to the project.

Candidates

Candidates Should Possess The Following Qualifications, Experience And Competence

  • A good recognized degree or above, preferably in the field of Chinese language studies or classical Chinese literature, or a related discipline;
  • Competent at computer skills and software (e.g. MS Office using Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Databases);
  • Self-motivated and meticulous, and be able to meet deadlines and work independently;
  • An excellent command of English and Chinese.

Terms and Conditions for Appointment

Successful candidate will be appointed on a temporary part-time contract and work not more than 17 hours per week for the period between March 2025 and June 2025. Payment will be made on hourly basis. Benefits will be provided in accordance with the statutory provisions.
