Python Engineer – Front Office Investment Banking

Our client is leading global investment bank seeking a skilled Python Engineer to join their front office technology team. You will work closely with traders and business stakeholders to develop high-performance, data-driven solutions that support their trading operations.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design, develop, and maintain Python-based applications for the trading desk.
• Collaborate with traders, quants, and business teams to deliver tailored solutions.
• Build and optimize data pipelines, analytics tools, and trading algorithms.
• Troubleshoot and resolve production issues promptly.
• Ensure compliance with regulatory and internal standards.

Qualifications:

• 5+ years of Python development experience, preferably in financial services.
• Strong Python skills, including libraries like Pandas, NumPy, and PySpark.
• Experience with data processing, analytics, and visualization tools.
• Familiarity with messaging systems (e.g., Kafka) and databases (e.g., SQL, NoSQL).
• Knowledge of Linux/Unix environments and version control (e.g., Git).
• Excellent communication skills and ability to work in a fast-paced environment.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Knowledge of financial instruments (e.g., equities, derivatives).
• Experience with cloud technologies (e.g., AWS, Azure) or containerization (e.g., Docker).
• Familiarity with Java or other programming languages is a plus.
