TEACHING AND RESEARCH DIVISION 

Assistant Manager / Senior Executive Officer (24250050)

The appointee will be responsible for providing executive support to the administration of the Division in formulating and implementing initiatives on human resources (HR) and development, and managing core HR functions and related matters of the Division.

Responsibilities:

  • Execute HR functions, including but not limited to recruitment and appointment, staff performance and workload review, training and development, and compilation of reports;
  • Provide secretarial support to the Division Staff Review Panels;
  • Manage the clearance and processing of HR-related applications, such as applications for outside practice and assigned duty outside Hong Kong;
  • Assist the Division Director in handling staff matters, manpower planning, review and establishment of internal policies, and special tasks; and
  • Report to the Division Director and perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements:

  • A good bachelor's degree with at least three years of relevant experience; familiarisation with administration in local tertiary education sector is an advantage;
  • Good team player with effective interpersonal and communication skills;
  • Strong sense of responsibility and attention to details;
  • Self-motivated with good problem-solving skills and commitment to quality, integrity, confidentiality and compliance;
  • Excellent command of both written and spoken English and Chinese (including Putonghua); and
  • Proficiency in MS Office and data analysis.

Shortlisted candidates will be invited to attend a written test.

The initial appointment will be made on a fixed-term contract of two years. Re-appointment thereafter is subject to performance review, mutual agreement and availability of funding. 

Rank and salary will be commensurate with qualifications and experience.
