Key investment role for the company’s general account assets specifically in the management of our expanding Alternatives portfolio (covering 3 entities in Hong Kong and the Macau entity).

The Job

  • Support senior portfolio managers to optimise liquidity management and portfolio construction ensuring portfolios are aligned with strategic asset allocations

  • Contribute to asset allocation and portfolio positioning decisions as well as implementation

  • Support on asset allocation capabilities and knowledge across asset classes to provide recommendations on portfolio construction and implementation

  • Manage business planning spreadsheets to project future asset allocation and cashflow expectations

  • Support on developing capability to execute across bonds, FX, ETFs, equities and a range of derivatives

  • Provide regular investment portfolio analysis and reporting

  • Review results of investment performance/return calculations for accuracy and analyze performance attribution

  • Expertise on Bloomberg AIM and FWD portfolio database to ensure the integrity and efficiency of portfolio and asset allocation

  • Provide fund analysis and respond to ad-hoc requests for information/research from internal and external clients

The Person

  • University graduate in relevant discipline

  • CFA and/or MBA preferred

  • Up to 5 years of investment and management experience

  • In depth understanding of the investment management industry

  • Sound understanding of investment principles

  • Team player with high attention to detail and ability to work under pressure as well as with individuals from a variety of disciplines and levels

  • Self-motivated and able to multitask, prioritize, cope with competing demands, and think outside the box

  • Strong project management and communication skills

  • Strong quantitative and analytical skills

  • Accounting and/or risk management knowledge is a plus

  • Compliance awareness and commitment
