COLLEGE OF PROFESSIONAL AND CONTINUING EDUCATION

College of Professional and Continuing Education (CPCE) was founded in 2002 as a self-financed college of The Hong Kong Polytechnic University (PolyU). CPCE oversees the operation and development of its two educational units, namely Hong Kong Community College (HKCC) and School of Professional Education and Executive Development (SPEED), with the aim of fostering synergy in providing quality education.

The College now invites applications for the following post:

Division of Social Sciences, Humanities and Design

Programme Officer (part-time) (Ref. 250228-01)
[Appointment period: twelve months]

Duties

The appointee will be required to:

(a) provide administrative support to the Division;
(b) assist in academic administration, including areas related to marketing, student admissions, and the development and management of academic subjects;
(c) assist in the planning and organisation of activities related to promotion and marketing, special events and functions, and
(d) perform any other duties as assigned.

The appointee may station either at the PolyU Hung Hom Bay Campus or PolyU West Kowloon Campus.

Qualifications

Applicants should have:

(a) a recognised degree;
(b) at least five years of relevant experience, preferably gained in the tertiary education sector;
(c) proficiency in English and Chinese (preferably including Putonghua);
(d) excellent interpersonal and communication skills;
(e)strong attention to details, and
(f) the calibre of a team leader as well as a team player.

A good understanding of the post-secondary education scene in Hong Kong, in particular the self-financed sector, will be an advantage.

Applicants with less experience will be considered for the post of Assistant Programme Officer.

Shortlisted candidates may be invited to sit for a written test.
