Specialist (Cyber Security) (Ref. 250228013)
Duties
The appointee will be a member in the IT Security Team of the Network, Cyber Security & Access Control Services Section. He/She will be required to:
(a) provide technical advice and consultancy on cyber security measures and controls from an operational perspective to various development teams in the University;
(b) coordinate and conduct security assessments for information systems to ensure compliance with established security policies and provide recommendations for remediation of non-compliance issues;
(c) handle and investigate cyber security incidents and events to protect the University’s IT assets;
(d) conduct research on emerging technologies in the field of cyber security and provide technical recommendations and industrial best practices for management’s considerations;
(e) organise and conduct information security awareness training programmes for staff and students;
(f) collaborate in application and infrastructure development projects to ensure adequate security measures are implemented while meeting business needs;
(g) provide after-office-hour standby and emergency support duties as and when required; and
(h) perform any other duties as assigned by the Director of the Office or his delegates.
Qualifications
Applicants should:
(a) have a recognised degree in Computer Science, Information Technology or a related field;
(b) preferably two years of relevant working experience in providing cyber security consultancy and IT security risk assessment services to large organisations;
(c) be proficient in handling vulnerability management process including and not limited to report consolidation, solution recommendation, exception handling and pen-test coordination;
(d) have extensive experience in using various security scanning tools on technical assessment;
(e) have proven experience in delivering training on cyber security related topics and policy review;
(f) demonstrate proficient communication skills, as well as strong analytical and problem-solving abilities;
(g) be capable to work independently as well as work collaboratively in a team;
(h) be proactive and able to perform effectively under pressure; and
(i) be proficient in both written and spoken English and Chinese.

Conditions of Service
A highly competitive remuneration package will be offered. Initial appointment will be on a fixed-term gratuity-bearing contract. Re-engagement thereafter is subject to mutual agreement.
