Assist the New Product Procurement Manager in the execution of all the direct and indirect purchasing and sourcing activities to maximize cost savings, from strategic procurement to providing supply chain support.  In addition, they will manage the vendors/suppliers to achieve the smooth Product Development Process and work with internal Design and Product Development teams.

Responsibilities

1. Maintain relationships with existing vendors/suppliers, develop and expand the quality vendor/supplier network around the world.

•  To work on sourcing & purchasing of frames & materials.

2. Negotiate with material suppliers & frame vendors to achieve competitive pricing and make margin targets.

• Collect, study, evaluate & analyze material suppliers & finished goods vendor quotations.
• Liaise with material supplies & frame vendors for price, service, delivery & quality.

3. Manage flow of new designs from conception to product launch.

• Manage the new product development process & deliverables.
• Occasionally provide clerical support to the global Product Development team
• Prepare and analyze reporting to monitor vendors’ product development performance.
• Work with cross functional teams in HK and around the world & deliver outstanding result through team work and efficient communication.

4. Manage special projects.

• e.g. Fast Track launches, Retooling projects, etc.
• coordinate internal and external parties to ensure all parties are involved and projects are developed within timeline.

5. Business travel

• Travel to China and overseas will be required. 

Experience:

• Diploma or Degree in Procurement Management or related disciplines;
• 5 to 10 years’ experience in sourcing/procurement
• Familiar with eyewear products mainly required
• Strong negotiation and interpersonal skills
• Strong numeric sense and analytical thinking
• Good command of written & spoken English, Chinese (Cantonese & Mandarin)
• Proactive and achieve goals under pressure
• Strategic thinking and mindset, willing to accept challenges
• Proficiency in PC skills, e.g. MS Office, Excel, Power Point, Chinese word processing, etc.
