Listed on the Hong Kong Stock Exchange, our client is one of the major players in semiconductor design and manufacturing sector.  Due to their continued business expansion, the company is now seeking to recruit a dynamic and seasoned executive to manage the full spectrum of HR function for their operations across Asia.

Reporting directly to their group CEO, he/she will lead and direct the HR function in Hong Kong. The details of the major responsibilities and requirements are outlined below.


Core Responsibilities:

  • Oversee the daily HR operations including but not limited to Talent Acquisition & Staffing (both long and short-term plans), Compensation & Benefits, Performance Management, Training & Development, Employee Relations, etc.
  • Provide overall technical and strategic support to various stakeholders within the organization to help the right business decisions.
  • Formulate, implement and review HR policies and procedures to support business growth.
  • Ensure compliance with statutory and local employment, tax regulations and manage relationships with internal and external partners.
  • Act as a catalyst in creating an atmosphere for learning, innovation and continuous improvement.
  • Participate in various HR projects.

 

The ideal candidate for the position should demonstrate the following attributes:

  • University degree holder, preferably with HR Management or business emphasis.
  • Minimum 15 years of progressive experience working as a HR generalist gained within sizeable corporations or fast paced business environment.
  • Previous experience in managing markets outside Hong Kong a plus.
  • Able to see the big picture as well as shepherd the department/organization in planning, organizing, leading and controlling.
  • First class communication skills (both verbal and written) and interpersonal skills, ability to work cross culturally and a good team player.
  • Meticulous, well organized with great attention to details.
  • Energetic and able to motivate and enthuse others.
  • Hands on and yet able to delegate as needed.
  • A change agent with commercial acumen and ability to innovate.
  • Understanding of media companies will be a big advantage.
  • Well versed in Labor Ordinance and statutory legislations.
  • Working knowledge of Tax.
  • High proficiency in English.
