VP/AVP (Post Approval Credit Monitoring) – Credit Control Department
Conduct thematic portfolio reviews or special reviews in response to credit risk
Handle the relevant issues arising from HKMA examination, regulatory reporting,
Provide comments related to early warning risk management, credit control etc.
Responsibilities:
Coordinate with different risk owners to conduct thematic portfolio reviews or special reviews in response to credit risk incidents and/or internal/external environmental factors with an aim to identify potential problem loans for early attention
Conduct regular internal control reviews to test the adequacy and effectiveness of credit risk management processes including but not limited to credit underwriting standards, credit assessments and approval processes, post-approval conditions implementation, etc.
Take charge of EW secretary roles in EW Meeting and provide periodic EW MIS report, exception report, and relevant meeting material for RMC/RC/EXCO reporting
Support Department Head to accomplish the assigned ad-hoc projects, including but not limited to handle the relevant issues arising from HKMA examination, regulatory reporting, and internal/external audit
Provide relevant training material to Business Units and Credit Units related to EW and post-lending management
Provide comments on the prevailing policies and procedures related to early warning risk management, credit monitoring and controls, post-approval review, etc.
Requirements:
University degree in Risk Management, Finance, Accounting or related disciplines
Holder of professional qualifications of ECF on Credit Risk Management (CCRP(CPM))
6-8 years relevant experience in credit risk management roles (e.g. commercial or corporate lending, credit portfolio management and/or post-lending management)
Experience in Credit Approver or Corporate Relationship Manager is preferred
Strong understanding of legal and regulatory requirements and banking practices on credit risk management
Good analytical, presentation and report-writing skills with strong attention to details and data accuracy
Proficient in MS Word, Excel and PowerPoint
Good command of both spoken and written English and Chinese including Mandarin
