About the role

Join the dynamic team at Sunbond Optix Ltd as a Software Engineer. In this full-time position based in Kwun Tong District, you will play a pivotal role in developing vision software solutions that drive the company's growth in the eyewear industry. Your technical expertise and innovative mindset will be instrumental in shaping the future of our products and services.

What you'll be doing

• Design, develop and maintain high-quality software applications that meet business requirements
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand project objectives and translate them into technical solutions
• Write clean, efficient and well-documented code using the latest software engineering best practices
• Participate in the full software development lifecycle, including requirements gathering, architecture design, implementation, testing and deployment
• Continuously improve existing systems and identify opportunities for process optimization
• Provide technical support and troubleshoot issues as they arise
• Stay up-to-date with industry trends and emerging technologies to enhance the company's competitive edge

What we're looking for

• Bachelor’s Degree or above in Computer Science, Data Science, or related disciplines.
• 1 to 2 years experience in image processing, computer vision, and/or GUI Programming
• Strong programming skills and knowledge in Python, C/C++, MATLAB
• Strong understanding of programming languages such as Python, JavaScript, HTML5, CSS, and SQL
• Experience in computer vision, image analysis and OpenCV is preferred
• Experience in full-stack development experience is preferred
• Automation & / or machinery experience is considered as a bonus.
• Knowledge of 3D Printer firmware is a plus but not essential
• Knowledge of deep learning, large language models (LLMs), and machine learning algorithms, neural networks is a plus but not essential
• Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work in a collaborative environment
• Proficiency in both spoken and written English and Chinese
