Qualifications

(1) having a Hong Kong bachelor's degree in a relevant engineering or science subject, or equivalent;

(ii) possessing an Associate Membership of the Hong Kong Institution of Engineers in a relevant discipline admitted on or after 5 December 1975;

(iii) having at least eight (8) years of relevant working experience in yard waste and/or biochar production project / contract management;

(iv) having good oral and written communication skills in both English and Chinese; proficiency in Putonghua will be an advantage;

(v) having good communication and interpersonal skills; and

(vi) possessing good computer knowledge including proficiency of MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Chinese Input Method.

Duties

(i) To provide contract management of Y-PARK;

(ii) To liaise and coordinate with contractor and stakeholders for enhancing the performance of Pilot Biochar Production Plant;

(iii) To facilitate the implementation of yard waste and biochar plant projects;

(iv) To formulate strategies for the promotion of yard waste recycling;

(v) To put forward the production of green chips with proper pre-treatment at Y-PARK; and (vi) To liaise and coordinate with interested government departments to deliver the tree waste and yard waste to Y-PARK for further converting them to biochar feedstock at the Pilot Biochar Production Plant and reapply the biochar produced from these wastes to other government department projects.
