Responsibilities

• Manage the operations of the hotels, ensure compliance to Sino Internal Control Policies and Procedures and effective controls on all assets, revenues and expenses of the hotels
• Oversee and monitor controls on areas of financial accounting, credit control, food and beverage cost control, purchasing, store and receiving and the information technology operations of the hotels
• Prepare the monthly profit and loss performance reports as well as cash flows of the hotels and perform regular performance review with Division and Department Heads to ensure the provision of efficient and cost-effective services and ensure Owner’s expectations are met
• Review and monitor budget, forecasts and capital expenditure plans to ensure optimal performance is achieved by the hotels
• Review group insurance for the hotels
• Increase operational efficiency of the hotels by upgrading the property management system
• Review financial performance of the operating hotels to ensure planning and budgeting activities meet corporate goals
• Perform investment analysis, feasibility studies and profit & loss projections for new hotel projects
• Review return on investment of hotels under development
• Monitor the development and implementation of the financial accounting systems of the newly opened hotels
• Tax planning and restructuring of the existing hotels
• Liaise with solicitors on legal issues

Qualifications

• Degree or above in Accounting, Finance or related disciplines, ACCA / HKICPA qualified accountant
• Minimum 10 years of relevant experience and 5 years in similar capacity preferably gained in hospitality industry
• Skills and experience in hotel various operation departments is a plus
• Excellent command of both spoken and written English and Chinese are essential while Mandarin is a plus
• Sound leadership, communication and interpersonal skills
• Computer literacy
• Sophisticated, meticulous, initiative and able to work under pressure
