Oversee and support Customs Advance Cargo Information (ACI) and Security reporting PreLoading Advance Cargo Information (PLACI) execution according to national regulations for cargo ex Area 3, with the primary focus on HKG flights to/via the US (ACAS and ACE reporting correctness).
Investigate and respond to regular queries regarding customs and security filings.
Liase with CV Corporate Security and Compliance teams to introduce solutions impacting customs and security reporting.
Act as Subject Matter Expert for security and customs reporting matters as well as provide training to local staff on customs reporting requirements, tools and processes.
Support the Cargolux Customs team in respecting Customs reporting regulations by monitoring networkwide data flows within the Cargolux logistics chain, in cooperation with the Head Office and Area organizations
Act as a business user in the specification, development, testing, and implementation of various system solutions to ensure Cargolux alignment with Customs Advance Cargo Information and Preloading Advance Cargo Information regulations
Assist the implementation of Cargolux connectivity to multiple automated national Customs data exchange systems
Monitor Customs fines
Assist in standardising Customs reporting to improve Cargolux network efficiency:
Support in setting up appropriate training material, where required
Help Issuing best practice user documentation
Assist in promoting the use of electronic data interchange to forwarders
Essential Requirements For The Position:
1-3 years professional experience in the air cargo industry is an advantage.
Demonstrate analytical skills, including a basic understanding of how to interpret Customs business needs and translate them into operational requirements, systems-and-process-wise.
Basic experience in cargo electronic data interchange, to communicate with various Customs systems worldwide is an advantage.
Ability to set-up and facilitate service improvement activities with relevant stakeholders.
Proficient in MS Office (Project, Visio, Word, Excel, Outlook, Power Point).
Excellent verbal and written communication skills and the ability to interact professionally with a diverse group of partners.
Fluency in written and spoken English; other languages are a distinct advantage.
