We are looking for a Chief Engineer based at Island Shangri-La Hong Kong!

As a Chief Engineer, we rely on you to:

• To ensure preventive maintenance schedules, engineering maintenance requests and new work orders are performed
• Be responsible for overseeing and managing Hotel on repair, maintenance work & FLS functions
• Provide a monthly working plan to Department Head, to ensure all equipment’s’ and facilities are running effective and smooth
• To inspect daily all plant rooms, kitchens, outlets and record any defects for rectification
• Ensure that the Hotel FLS systems comply with local fire safety codes and regulations
• Plan and implement FLS systems inspection, testing and maintenance
• Supervise Hotel fire and smoke compartments, including all escape ways
• Provide departmental training / Fire and Life Safety training to internal staff

We are looking for someone who has:

• Degree holder or above in Building Service, Electrical, Mechanical Engineering or a related discipline
• A minimum of 8 years relevant experience in Building / Hotel operations
• Familiar with government ordinances and regulations
• Recognized certification in performing fire safety engineering
• Strong leadership skills, interpersonal skills and training skills
• Excellent command of spoken and written English and Chinese
