We are looking for a compassionate and qualified part-time psychologist to join our team in Hong Kong. This role involves providing psychological assessments, therapy, and counseling services to individuals or groups on a flexible schedule. The ideal candidate will possess strong interpersonal skills, a solid foundation in psychological principles, and the ability to work with diverse clients.
Key Responsibilities:
Psychological Assessments:
Conduct psychological assessments for clients seeking therapy or support.
Administer standardized psychological tests to evaluate emotional, mental, and behavioral concerns.
Prepare detailed and accurate reports based on assessments and client history.
Therapy & Counseling:
Provide individual and group therapy sessions to clients, focusing on mental health issues such as anxiety, stress, depression, and trauma.
Offer personalized coping strategies and support to clients in achieving therapeutic goals.
Follow up with clients as needed to assess progress and adjust treatment plans accordingly.
Client Support:
Create and implement treatment plans tailored to the specific needs of each client.
Provide guidance to clients regarding emotional well-being, stress management, and healthy coping mechanisms.
Record Keeping & Documentation:
Maintain confidential client records, ensuring that all sessions and assessments are documented accurately and in compliance with legal and ethical standards.
Keep detailed and up-to-date notes on client progress and treatment plans.
Collaboration & Referrals:
Collaborate with other healthcare professionals, as needed, to ensure a holistic approach to client care.
Refer clients to other specialists or services as necessary.
Professional Development:
Stay informed of current developments in the field of psychology through research, workshops, and continuing education.
Qualifications:
Master’s degree or higher in Psychology (Clinical, Counseling, or related field).
Registered and licensed to practice psychology in Hong Kong (or eligibility for licensure).
Proven experience in psychological counseling and therapy.
Strong understanding of mental health issues and therapeutic techniques.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with an ability to work with diverse populations.
Empathy, patience, and professionalism in client interactions.
Flexibility to work according to client needs on a part-time schedule.
Preferred Skills:
Experience in working with both individual and group therapy settings.
Bilingual in Cantonese and English (Mandarin is a plus).
Familiarity with cross-cultural counseling practices in Hong Kong.
