Responsibilities

• Assist the local Technical Director and collaborate with the System Design team in Canada for seamless integration of Hitachi solutions with other systems
• Provide technical support in designing and implementing the schematics and layout for the DCS (Data Communication Network), ensuring compliance with project specifications
• Develop design solutions and offer support for the configuration of remote point monitoring systems
• Deliver technical support in troubleshooting and identifying root causes of issues that arise during site tests
• Work closely with the hardware design team to determine signaling requirements and support hardware procurement processes
• Provide technical assistance to the Toronto team across all project phases, including the review of design documents.
  
  

Requirements

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronics, or a related field
• A minimum of 5 years of experience in signalling design, interface design, or requirements management
• Proven experience working with multidisciplinary engineering teams across multiple geographical locations
• Good communication and teamwork skills to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to address complex design and integration challenges
• Good written and spoken English Knowledge of signalling safety principles is an advantage.
• Familiarity with SelTrac signalling systems and/or CBTC subsystems is an advantage.
