Key Responsibilities:

• Lead and manage the operations and settlement teams to ensure smooth and efficient processing of trades, settlements, and corporate actions.
• Develop and implement operational policies, procedures, and controls to enhance efficiency and mitigate risks.
• Ensure compliance with all relevant regulatory requirements and internal policies.
• Oversee the reconciliation of trades, positions, and cash balances to ensure accuracy and resolve discrepancies promptly.
• Collaborate with other departments, including trading, risk management, and IT, to optimize operational processes and systems.
• Manage relationships with external parties, such as brokers, custodians, and clearinghouses, to ensure seamless settlement processes.
• Monitor and analyze operational performance metrics to identify areas for improvement and implement corrective actions.
• Stay updated on industry trends, regulatory changes, and technological advancements to ensure the firm remains competitive and compliant.
• Provide leadership, mentorship, and professional development opportunities to the operations and settlement teams.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Business Administration, or a related field. A Master's degree or professional certifications (e.g., CFA, FRM) is a plus.
• Minimum of 10 years of experience in operations and settlement within the securities or financial services industry, with at least 5 years in a managerial role.
• In-depth knowledge of securities trading, settlement processes, and regulatory requirements in Hong Kong.
• Strong understanding of risk management principles and operational controls.
• Excellent leadership and team management skills, with a proven track record of building and leading high-performing teams.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to make sound decisions under pressure.
• Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with internal and external stakeholders.
• Proficiency in using operational and settlement systems, as well as Microsoft Office Suite.
• Fluency in English and Chinese (Cantonese and/or Mandarin) is required.
