About The Job

We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Accountant based in Malaysia to join our dynamic finance team. In this role, you will play a crucial part in maintaining the financial health of the organization through meticulous tracking, analysis, and reporting and report directly to the Regional Finance Manager based in Hong Kong.


The Accountant Will Be Responsible For


Month-end, Financial Reporting & Operations:

  • Process vendor invoices, ensuring accuracy and timely payment
  • Reconcile vendor statements and resolve any discrepancies
  • Review and process employee expense reports
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of all accounts payable transactions
  • Work closely with internal departments and external vendors to resolve any payment issues or discrepancies
  • Prepare bank reconciliation and payments
  • Work closely with vendors and internal departments to ensure all documents are in accordance with company policy and accepted accounting practices.
  • Collaborate with the team on ad-hoc projects aimed at increasing efficiency across the business
  • Update fixed assets register
  • Assist with month-end close processes and other accounting duties as assigned by the Accounting Manager
  • Audit and Tax Support:
  • Prepare audit schedules and collaborate with auditors during inquiries
  • Prepare schedules for tax computation


In This Role, We Are Looking For Someone With

  • 1-2 years of experience in finance and accounting roles and audit background, preferably in a fast-paced environment
  • Detail-oriented and can work under pressure, strong collaboration skills
  • Strong understanding of accounting principles, financial regulations, and compliance
  • Strong proficiency in financial software and systems (e.g., SAP, Excel, Google Sheets).
  • Strong organizational skills to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines
  • Attention to details and accuracy in financial reporting and documentation.
  • Problem-solving mindset and the ability to adapt to changing circumstances
  • Fluent in English and Chinese, both verbal and written (written Traditional Chinese highly preferred)


Good To Have

  • Prior experience in audit and/or financial technology firms and thrives in a fast-paced environment
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills for collaborating with diverse teams.
  • SAP experience is a plus
