The Hong Kong Trade Development Council (HKTDC) is Hong Kong’s statutory body for promoting Hong Kong’s trade with the world. Its Paris Office is inviting applications for the following position:

Assistant Business Matching Manager (on-site position at our Paris office)

Job Responsibilities

To ensure the accomplishment of the Key Performance Indicators and other targets fixed by the Head Office.

To Supervise and coordinate the work of two Business Matching Assistants:

To ensure that the policy and instructions of the Head Office are well understood and applied.

To maintain a databank of about 16,000 records

To coordinate & manage the Update exercise on the Interactive records including telephone exercise, keying-in of information and Accuracy Audit on the Databank.

To identify valuable contacts for the expansion of the databank according to the Promotional Plan given by the Head Office.

To assess the financial needs of the Business Matching Department and to submit the annual budget. To control the expenses of the department all year long.

To coordinate with the Branch Director, the Corporate Communication Manager and the Marketing Managers on all the promotional activities of the office.

To study with the project managers all the possibilities and potentials in the use of the Databank to better promote the activities of the office.

To assist the organisation and to take part in the promotional activities of the office.

To coordinate with the project managers to promote all the HKTDC trade fairs and seminars.

To recruit exhibitors and visitors for all the HKTDC trade fairs and seminars.

To promote Hong Kong as a business platform to French companies through the services provided by the HKTDC.

To provide all kinds of advises and market information to French companies on their trade with Hong Kong companies.

To provide valuable business matching contacts to French companies to facilitate their trade with Hong Kong companies.

Automation coordination – to solve all the computer related problems.

Job Requirements

A recognised university degree with a minimum of 5 years' solid working experience preferably with sizable organizations, in sourcing & procurement, project management, event organization, sales & marketing operations, customer services

Experience and knowledge in database management will be a plus

Strong interests and understanding of Hong Kong economy, trade and business arena covering various Hong Kong industries, and markets and business opportunities for Hong Kong companies

Strong attention to details with business sense, analytical mind in understanding matching requirements

Well organized and meticulous with the ability to multi-task and work under pressure and tight project timeline

A good team player, customer-oriented with good interpersonal skills and a pleasant, outgoing personality

Excellent command of written and spoken English

Proficiency in Cantonese and Mandarin will be a definite advantage

Proficient in MS applications (including Word, Excel, Powerpoint)
