Senior Sales Manager - Team Lead – Hong Kong

We are looking for a Senior Sales Manager - Team Lead role who will join an industry leading sales representation company, representing one of the biggest travel brands in the world.

We are looking for someone who will be able to motivate and inspire a team to grow their accounts and produce revenue. We are looking for someone who will be able to work with the client and has the ability to build strong business relationships. The ideal candidate will be able to work with the client to understand their needs and the activities expected to grow the business. The ideal candidate will know how to meet the client’s expectations, address the sales and marketing strategies that best utilize time for the market and successfully grow revenue. They will be able to translate that to the team and inspire them to work proactively and efficiently on their portfolios. The ideal candidate will be invited to think outside the box and bring a fresh perspective to the team. We are looking for someone who will be excited to provide ideas and build strategies to support the team. It is expected that the Senior Sales Manager will lead the team by example, growing their own portfolio of accounts with mostly face to face interactions with sales visits, product demonstrations, partner events, tradeshows and exhibitions. There may also be a need for telesales and webinars. The ideal candidate will be comfortable to work with various department such as customer support, technology teams and neighboring markets. The ideal candidate will be proficient at reading data, understanding that the data means for their market and using the data results to develop well thought out strategies.

Key responsibilities & qualifications include:

  • Team Leadership experience is a requirement
  • Build and execute a long-term sales strategy working with mature accounts and managing the new business pipeline
  • Ability to motivate and inspire a team
  • Ability to accurately diagnose known and unknown partner business needs and translate needs into opportunities and appropriate product offering
  • Strong value based selling skills founded on business acumen and the ability to translate benefits into the partner’s business language to prove value
  • Ability to effectively communicate and to form strong business relationships face to face and remotely (via phone, webex, email); including fundamental presentation skills and the demonstrated ability to articulate ideas clearly and appropriately influence others
  • Effective leveraging of value delivered to increase mutual value and account penetration/share of wallet
  • Ability to identify travel agent partners with strong fit and which have the opportunity for long term growth
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint
  • Expedience as team leader and KPI, results focused
  • Ability to work and thrive in a multi-tasked, fast paced environment
  • Language Skills: Chinese, English
  • Availability to travel


Required Experience:

At least 5 years related travel industry experience and college degree
