Responsibilities:

• Daily coordination among all construction trades and building services installations.
• Inspection and monitoring the workmanship and progress of building services installation.
• Resolve all immediate site coordination and design problems.
• Response to main contractor or sub-contractors’ queries on technical issue, including but not limited to the issuance of design and detail for work execution. Resident Engineer may also response for communicate with E&M Consultant’s design engineer for resolving ad hoc site and design changes.
• Attend E&M site progress and coordination meeting.
• Coordinate with Main Contractor’s E&M engineers and E&M sub-contractors on the issuance of shop drawings and follow up with consultant’s approval.
• Follow up with authorities’ inspection and defects rectification.
• Act as a bridge between the building services consultant and Main Contractor/E&M sub-contractors to resolve encountered problems relating to building services installation for the development.
• Inspections for the building services sub-contractors’ claimed work done and variations.
• Give instructions to & monitor E&M sub-contractors to carry out rectification and remediate on defective or poor workmanship.

Requirements:

• Bachelor Degree in Building Services, Electrical, Mechanical Engineering or equivalent
• 6 – 8 years relevant post-qualification experience including 4 years site work experience
• Adaptable, Independent, Strong communication skills at all level and supervisory skills of technical / site staff
• Good command of both written and spoken English and Chinese
• Candidate with contractor work experience would be an advantage
• Immediately available is highly preferred
