Our client, a renowned leader in the banking industry, is seeking a Data Project Lead to join the Data team and propel their data initiatives to new heights. This role demands a skilled professional who excels at managing complex projects, fosters cross-functional collaboration, and delivers outcomes that transform our operations. Responsibilities: 

  • Lead the planning, execution, and delivery of data projects, ensuring alignment with bank-wide objectives and measurable results.
  • Define project scopes, timelines, and resource needs, managing budgets and schedules to meet critical deadlines.
  • Identify and mitigate risks, resolving challenges to keep data initiatives on track and within scope.
  • Coordinate with cross-functional teams to integrate data solutions seamlessly into banking operations.
  • Monitor progress and report outcomes to stakeholders, ensuring transparency and strategic alignment.
  • Facilitate training and change management to support adoption of new data tools and processes.

Requirements: 

  • Min. 6 years of data management experience, ideally in financial services or Fintech. 
  • Strong grounding in banking and finance, preferably with a degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related discipline.
  • Proficiency in best-in-class data practices, banking operations, and local regulatory standards—you’re well-versed and ready.
  • Proven success in leading data projects, with extra credit for navigating complex, large-scale efforts.
  • Familiarity with data modeling or AI tools is a plus.
  • A focused, results-driven approach that thrives under pressure.
  • Outstanding communication and negotiation skills, with fluency in English and Chinese (spoken and written).
