The Job                  

1. Strategic Risk Management and Operational Excellence

  • Lead strategic collaboration between Charities Division and Accounts Payable teams
  • Develop and maintain robust monitoring systems to track operational changes and trends
  • Design proactive risk mitigation strategies for payment processes
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives through data-driven insights
  • Establish key performance indicators to measure operational effectiveness
  • IT CPG Framework and Process

2. Controls Framework Enhancement

  • Conduct comprehensive assessments of expenditure management controls
  • Collaborate with finance controllership team in implementing governance & financial controls
  • Design and implement remediation plans for identified control gaps
  • Architect an enhanced end-to-end expenditure framework encompassing:
  • Multi-tier project approval mechanisms
  • Real-time cost monitoring and variance analysis
  • Enhanced payment review and authorization workflows
  • Structured project closure and evaluation procedures

3. Technology and Systems Integration

  • Provide strategic input for Charities Management System implementation
  • Spearhead process automation initiatives to drive finance system enhancement and process efficiencies
  • Ensure control requirements are embedded in system design
  • Validate system capabilities against control framework requirements
  • Guide user acceptance testing for control-related functionalities

4. Governance and Change Management

  • Establish clear governance structures for payment management
  • Lead the development and maintenance of comprehensive policies
  • Design and implement control self-assessment programs
  • Lead change management initiatives to cultivate continuous improvement mindset
  • Drive cross-divisional/ cross-functional collaboration effort & change implementation
  • Mentor team members on control principles and best practices
  • Facilitate knowledge transfer across all HK and China subsidiaries under the Club
  • Scale successful framework elements to broader Club operations

 

 About You

1. Education and Certification

  • A bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Information Technology, or related disciplines is required. Professional certification as an Internal Control Auditor or equivalent internal control credentials strongly preferred.

2. Professional Experience

  • Minimum 10 years of progressive experience in corporate accounting, compliance, internal control, or finance transformation within large-scale organizations. Must demonstrate substantial expertise in management consulting or advisory roles. Experience leading financial operations in multinational corporations, particularly within regulated environments, is essential.

3. Core Competencies

  • Proven track record in project management with exceptional attention to detail and quality standards. Demonstrated success in identifying operational inefficiencies, strengthening control frameworks, and implementing strategic solutions across complex organizations. Must exhibit strong analytical capabilities and expertise in process optimization methodologies.

4. Communication & Leadership

  • Demonstrated excellence in written and verbal communication
  • Proven track record managing complex stakeholder relationships
  • Strong project management and team leadership capabilities

5. Technical Expertise

  • Extensive hands-on experience implementing and enhancing enterprise financial systems (Oracle, SAP)
  • Advanced knowledge of system integration methodologies and best practices
  • Proven expertise in data analytics and process automation using UiPath, PowerBI, and Tableau

6. Process Excellence

  • Certified or demonstrated proficiency in process engineering frameworks (LEAN, Six Sigma)
  • Strong background applying data analytics for process optimization
  • Experience leading continuous improvement initiatives across organizations
