Our projects span best-in-class customised E-Commerce & CMS platforms. We work with various PHP frameworks - most commonly CraftCMS, Craft Commerce & Laravel, as well as Shopify Plus & Craft Commerce.

We regularly work with Hong Kong-based clients looking to improve their websites or e-commerce stores. Or are looking to re-platform and engage in a large-scale project with us.

Our leads are mostly inbound via our website, referrals and existing clients. And our approach is consultative, where we develop a strategy for a client over a few weeks.

We have created our approach to this, where we outline a ‘website stack’ for a client - which we believe details the strategy required to build a successful website. We also have an ‘e-commerce stack’, the key elements necessary to launch a profitable store.

New Business
  • You will be managing Butter’s new business pipeline & are the first one to review potential client briefs / RFPs as they come in.
E-commerce & Website Strategy
  • After qualification, you will work with clients via meetings, calls and workshops to fully scope their project requirements - across strategy, design and technical aspects of their needs.
  • You will lead Butter’s proposed e-commerce or web platform solution, working with our discipline experts across strategy, design and engineering.
Budgeting + Proposals & Closing Deals
  • After fully scoping client requirements and agreeing on a platform or e-commerce strategy, you will work to estimate the resources required in the form of a budget.
  • You will build proposals & present your solution to potential clients, founders, owners and senior management of corporates.
  • You will work with clients post-proposal to sign off, ensuring Butter is well-positioned to win their business.
Mindset, Skills & Experience that we value
  • Accustomed and experienced in the fast pace of agencies - we work on 3-5 projects and support 25+ clients at any given time.
  • You are an assertive communicator - who enjoys making the complex simple.
  • Have collaborated with strategy and development teams both in-office and remote.
  • Obsessed with e-commerce and how the latest design & technology shapes consumer engagement.
  • Interest in new design tools, methods and approaches - especially design tools like Figma or new e-commerce platforms.
  • Deep, hands-on expertise with:
    • Selling web design & development 
    • Being in a small sales team selling to mid-market and below clients 
    • Accustomed to refining your own sales process to maximise opportunities
