Business Planning Manager, CCO (Hong Kong or Singapore)

The Business Planning Manager, Chief Client Officer (CCO), will work very closely with the CCO of Wealth and Retail Banking to provide support in areas such as strategy, performance management, communications, project management, event management, and governance. This is a hands-on role which involves close collaboration with the CCO Management Team and stakeholders across our markets, to support execution of CCO near-term priorities as well as longer-term strategy. The candidate needs to display strong business acumen, a deep understanding of the WRB landscape in our key markets, strong communication and interpersonal skills, exceptional attention to detail, as well as an ability to think independently and prioritise.
Strategy
Support the CCO in the articulation and delivery of strategic initiatives to develop and grow CCO part of the business including
Develop framework and team structure to drive implementation for key strategic initiatives, enabling timely and disciplined progress
Formulate key work streams and identifying the tasks across the region
Identify and leverage synergies between various lines of businesses
Develop cadence or operating rhythm to enable smooth and timely progress of strategic programme
Coordinate across all businesses/functions within CCO organisation to follow-up on the business priorities
Business
Develop, manage and refine key management materials, including Strategy, Business reviews, Cost reviews and key management information
Support delivery of the business agenda and collective agenda across markets and performance targets
Work widely across the CCO organisation to develop and prepare key management reviews and information required
Prepare briefing notes, speaking notes and supplementary research ahead of key meetings.
Undertake specific business projects and ad-hoc requests as they arise day-to-day, in areas such as costs, transformation, culture and employee engagement
Support the CCO to manage agendas for CCO Management Team meetings, ensuring meeting materials are submitted on time and decisions and actions are documented and tracked to completion
Organise overseas visits in collaboration with local offices and coordinate logistical matters as required
Communications
Support the CCO communications agenda, working with CABM on development and execution to ensure effective communication of key messages across WRB business and functions
Prepare speaking notes and presentation materials for internal and external speaking engagements
People & Talent
Organise employee engagement events like townhalls, leadership meetings, offsites to drive alignment of shared objectives across business and functions
Work with HR Business Partner/team to drive people agenda for CCO organisation
Support talent, conduct, culture, and diversity & inclusion initiatives in WRB
Additional Responsibilities
Support the CCO’s additional remit or responsibilities e.g. MT co-sponsor; WRB D&I Activities
Support the CCO in driving special projects as needed
Education - Bachelor
Languages - English
Our Ideal candidate
5+ years of Banking experience or management consulting
Strong business acumen and experienced navigator of the organisation, with a good understanding of Wealth and Retail Banking business and market landscape, especially in our largest markets
A team player with strong interpersonal skills and collaborative mindset, to influence and work with a wide variety of stakeholders
Exceptional attention to detail, ability and willingness to take a hands-on approach to getting things done, proactiveness, and ability to anticipate requirements
Ability to problem-solve and handle ambiguity, including flexibility to adapt to changes and peaks in workload at short notice
Ability to prioritise and balance between work on broad strategic projects and day-to-day process-oriented tasks
Strong project management and analytical skill
Excellent communication skills – oral, written and visual
Inquisitive mind with the ability to structure, organise or simplify complex information
Experience with event management is an advantage
Experience in Marketing, Digital Sales, Analytics and Client Experience is an advantage
