BUYER F/M (Hong-Kong)

We are looking for a dynamic and results-driven Buyer to join our team in Hong Kong. The ideal candidate will play a key role in buying products to the most suited supplier in terms of design, price, and compliance with brand specifications. You will be responsible for purchasing volumes and ensuring timely delivery while maintaining strong supplier relationships.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage a portfolio of suppliers : act as the main point of contact, evaluate supplier performance (scoring), and implement action plans for improvement.
• Contribute to sourcing and product allocation strategies while optimizing margins.
• Visit suppliers and factories to update their know-how and ensure alignment with company expectations.
• Estimate costs of each style based on technical files and samples, forecasting margins accordingly.
• Negotiate prices with suppliers based on forecast and actual order quantities.
• Secure ETD agreements in line with customer delivery expectations while considering technical and production constraints.
• Handle quality issues and negotiate penalties when necessary.
• Collect and verify supplier certificates to ensure compliance with company requirements.

Required Profil :

We are looking for a candidate with a minimum of 5 years of experience as a textile buyer. The ideal candidate should possess the following skills:

• Technical Skills: Strong negotiation abilities, deep understanding of textile products and costing, familiarity with production processes, and supplier management.
• Soft Skills: Proactive mindset, persistence, respect, excellent teamwork and communication abilities, strong analytical and organizational skills.
• Language Requirements: Fluency in English is mandatory; Mandarin would be a plus.
• Mobility: Frequent travel required to visit suppliers and factories.
