Our client is a global leading packaging solution manufacturer, provide printing solutions and packaging solutions to FMCG. They are looking for a Supply Chain Director to join their team. As the Supply Chain Director, you will lead the Group Supply Chain team and manage all aspects of supply chain activities, including material planning & procurement, production planning, warehousing, distribution, and logistics.


Your new role

  • Leading the strategic planning and implementation of supply chain strategies in alignment with company objectives.
  • Setting clear goals and directions, and monitoring KPIs to ensure quality standards and deadlines are met.
  • Managing regional teams to ensure effective communication and alignment of policies and practices across regions.
  • Ensuring compliance with all applicable laws, regulations, and company policies related to supply chain operations.
  • Leading the selection and management of suppliers, vendors, and third-party logistics providers, and developing and maintaining partnership relationships.
  • Deciding on supply and distribution methods by tracking the efficiencies of each delivery mode.
  • Managing and monitoring inventory levels to ensure timely delivery of materials and products.
  • Driving, planning, and monitoring material and finished goods purchases based on order demand and production capacity.
  • Controlling the budget and expenses of supply chain activities and setting up cost-saving measures without compromising service quality.
  • Managing and mentoring the supply chain team, fostering a culture of continuous improvement in productivity, reliability, flexibility, responsiveness, and operational costs.
  • Performing ad hoc assignments as directed by management.

What you'll need to succeed

  • Degree or above in Supply Chain, Logistics, Operations, Engineering, Business Management, or a related discipline.
  • Minimum of 8 years of managerial experience in the field of Supply Chain, preferably in a multicultural environment.
  • Solid experience in material planning, production planning, vendor, and logistics management.
  • Good understanding of international freight management and customs declaration.
  • Experience in managing the end-to-end process from purchase order to shipment.
  • Strong ability to deliver exceptional operational results and drive process simplification and system optimisation exercises.
  • Proficiency in MRP/ERP systems is a plus.
  • Strong analytical skills and problem-solving abilities.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and influencing skills.
  • Proficiency in both spoken and written English, Mandarin, and Cantonese.
