As a product specialist on Fund Products investments (mutual funds, semi liquids, private assets) supporting the relationship managers, you will be responsible for the review and selection of both traditional and new products as well as ongoing review of Fund Products positions already carried in Private Banking and Treasures Private Client segments.

 

Responsibilities

  • Responsible for the managed solutions product development and management for both traditional and alternative funds for the PB platform.
  • Work with both internal business units and external asset managers for onboarding, and deliver advisory communications and training.
  • Maintaining the funds platform and monitoring recommendations, models and projects.
  • Assist in planning and drive Fund products investment initiatives; formulate and deploy an effective product strategy / marketing plan to achieve the business results with a focus on North Asian markets.
  • Develop effective sales incentive plan, sales aids, sales flow and training materials to increase sales efficiency and reduce cost / lead time 
  • Coordinate with fund partners to onboard and launch new products in compliance with internal & external guidelines and regulatory requirements.
  • Conduct market analysis timely to identify business opportunities / threats, initiate appropriate product strategies / plan including distribution capability to optimize the business results.
  • Revamp / improve products on shelf, review documentation / sales process, streamline operation flow while adhering to both internal policies and regulatory requirements 
  • Prepare regular reports and ad-hoc presentation for the review of management and regulators.
  • Assist and drive organization of client events with asset management companies, and internal stakeholders.
  • Train new joiners on selling process for Fund related activities.
  • To perform regulated activities, type 1 & 4 or 1, 4, 9 (as required) specified under the Securities and Futures Ordinance (SFO)
  • To comply with the registered capacity as well as any conditions imposed by the HKMA. This includes compliance with the applicable requirements of the Code of conduct for Persons Licensed by or Registered with the SFC.

 

Requirements

  • University degree, with preferred professional qualification in the Finance or Investment fields.
  • Must be registered RI (Regulated Activities: Type 1 & 4 or 1, 4 & 9 (as required))
  • 3-6 years in related field will be considered for Associate to AVP
  • Meticulous and reliable with good analytical and communication skills, ability to work independently
  • Good understanding of Fund Products industry, i.e. regulatory, business need etc.
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills
  • With teamwork spirit
  • Understand portfolio management
  • Able to analyze Fund Products product and do product selections
  • Well verse with standard platforms and analytical tools used i.e. Reuters, Bloomberg,
  • Familiar with standard computer software programs
  • Good spoken and written English, Cantonese, and Mandarin preferred
