Assist the Relationship Managers

Job Responsibilities
Assist the Relationship Managers to prepare credit proposal for prospect clients and manage the loan portfolio
Perform Credit Analysts and monitor the ongoing credit risk and quality
Responsible for handling the requests and questions from clients and communicate with credit department to respond the enquiries
Review loan documentation for consistency with credit and approval and work with the Loan Booking unit to book the loan onto the Bank’s system
Oversee the collection of loan portfolio reporting and compliance with facility covenants, and work with Loan Operations to ensure that the reporting is accurately reflected on the Bank’s systems
Prepare written credit proposals, including financial and market analysis, industry summaries, investor backgrounds, and investment portfolio analysis
Produce presentations on specific loans and participate in the bank's Loan Approval Process and recommend approval and appropriate structure of credits when necessary
Monitor loan repayment activities and financial condition of borrowing clients and take necessary action to collect past due accounts and ongoing repayment ability of all other accounts
Oversee loan renewals, document tickler and covenant tracking of loans. Work with syndicate banks (together with the Relationship Manager) on larger transactions
Work with regulators and internal auditors to supply informational needs on client reviews when necessary
Work with RMs to identify potential opportunities and manage the renewal process for cross sell of other non-lending banking products
Generate and provide requested reports as necessary on Team’s loan portfolio
Work closely with internal colleagues in HK and US
Participate special projects and provide requested reports on loan portfolio as needed
Job Requirements
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent; preference for finance or accounting major or equivalence
Ideally 6 years of banking experience, including at least two years of credit portfolio management experience and credit training
Possesses financial modelling skills will be a plus
Flexibility and adaptability to a dynamic environment, and ability to learn quickly in a high-volume transaction scenario
Strong writing, interpersonal and communication skills are critical
Working knowledge of private equity and the major components of investment vehicles is a plus
Good command of both spoken and written English and Chinese
