Responsibilities

• Carry out civil new works projects and steelwork projects in operating railway to ensure statutory compliance and meet the required standards of safety, reliability and efficiency
• Prepare contract documents and other supporting technical reports for the implementation of work including asset replacement studies
• Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to ensure works are implemented in a safe, timely and cost-effective manner
• Develop and maintain procedures, work processes and recommend the use of new equipment and technology to enhance work efficiency, safety and productivity
• Prepare budget estimation and monitor expenditures to ensure effective resources utilisation
• Lead and supervise a team of site supervisors to implement control and monitor on the site work quality, workmanship, safety and environmental impact
• Conduct asset condition studies and asset management for steelworks

Requirements

• Degree in Civil / Structural / Building Engineering or a related discipline
• A minimum of 8 years’ relevant experience, of which 2 years should be at supervisory level
• Possession of Corporate Membership of a professional institution in related discipline is an advantage
• Knowledge of railway network construction / maintenance and contractor management experience are preferred
• Strong analytical, decision making, communication and people management skills

Remarks

• Required to perform night shift duties and on-call service
• Appointment will be made on two-year renewable contract terms
