Role Introduction

Reports to: Data and AI Governance Manager

Department: DGT - Digital

This position will be responsible to support the Data & AI Governance Manager in the implementation of the Data & AI Governance framework for the business and operation streams in the organization. Major tasks include:

  • Enforce Data and AI Governance Strategy in these areas: Customer, Employee, Commercial, Operations, Partnership
  • Support to implement Data and AI Governance Framework in enterprise level
  • Drive change in responsible areas by working closely with departmental Data Stewards across the group to instil a good Data and AI Governance practice
  • Monitor quality of implementation of policies and processes to uphold security, quality, and value of the data assets

Key Responsibilities

  • Support the implementation of the Data & AI Governance Framework for these areas: Customer, Employee, Commercial, Operations, Partnership
  • Lead the Data & AI Governance working group meetings and work with different business stream stakeholders to drive initiatives
  • Collaborate with Operations and Analytics teams to implement data quality standards, data protection standards and adoption requirements  
  • Collaborate with IT to implement quality metrics, ensuring accessibility and consistency of data and readiness of related analytics capabilities
  • Identify, evaluate, and manage data risks and mitigation strategies
  • Engage data stewards and data domain owners to ensure the Data & AI Governance requirement is always up to date
  • Collaborate with data science team to identify and evaluate AI technology data inputs and model outcome complies with responsible AI guidelines
  • Provide guidelines and trainings to the business units on all key AI governance considerations to ensure efficient and controlled design and delivery of AI initiatives, to enhance customer experience and meet control requirements
  • Ensure key controls described in relevant AI/ML Standards and Policies are being followed consistently across the enterprise
  • Work alongside the business to gain a clear understanding of AI platforms and products
  • Evaluate and execute access control for database and analytics platform
  • Design and manage periodic review and validation of user access
  • Ensure full records of agreed data usage purpose and obtained consent

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree or an equivalent combination of education and related work experience
  • Minimum 5 years of proven experience in Data & AI Governance, Data Management and/or Data Quality initiatives 
  • Knowledge of Data & AI Governance practices, business and technology issues related to management of enterprise assets and approaches related to regulatory requirements
  • Familiar with AI and a strong grasp of emerging technology 
  • Understanding of data quality reporting methodologies and capabilities
  • Team player with effective communication and interpersonal skills, able to share effectively across different business streams
  • Keen attention to detail and passion for creating impactful and well-designed presentation materials 
  • Willingness and proactively accept and drive change to accomplish positive outcomes 
  • Working knowledge on project management skills with business process review
  • Strong organisational, multi-tasking and time-management skills are required
