The role will be responsible for developing and executing the strategy for our multi-brand footwear store. This role involves analyzing market trends, managing inventory levels & warehouse, and optimizing product assortments to maximize sales and profitability. The ideal candidate will work closely with various teams, including, marketing, finance and operations, to ensure a cohesive and effective merchandising approach.
📍Duties & responsibilities
Provide weekly/monthly merchandising analysis on sell-through, sales trends, excess opportunities, or potential risk, then react accordingly. Making sure that business KPI is on track
Assemble & execute strategic plans for seasonal brand assortment and OTB in order to meet the business objective
Lead the process of communicating and then validating sales plans in order to commit to the OTB
Liaise with brands & distributors on order placing efficiency and ensure appropriate levels of stock of designated product categories are maintained
Analyze and collaborate with store managers on ways to maximize opportunities, report on and monitor deliveries , escalate delivery delays to business
Focus on trends that can drive better decision making, improve lead times and forecast accuracy
Take responsibility for the regular updates to monthly best estimates across all categories, working in close collaboration with both store & finance teams
Act as a strong business partner to the store team & marketing team during each buying session, setting up and challenging sales plans for each seasons
Ensure product arrive to store timely based on launch plan
Monitor inventory levels & turnover rates, ensuring optimal stock levels to meet customer demand while minimizing excess inventory
Developing new brands, negotiating w/ vendors, brands & distributors to maximize the margin of profit according to the business needs
Prepare and present reports on sales performance, inventory levels, and merchandising effectiveness to senior management
Assist in managing the merchandising budget, ensuring all activities are cost-effective and aligned with financial targets
Produce accurate sales forecasts using a process of continuous improvement to improve results*
