Responsibilities:

• Perform the duties of a Safety Officer;
• Coordinate with the Project Manager, Supervisor, Contractor at management level and other government departments on occupational safety and health matters;
• Prepare and submit for acceptance, supervise and monitor implementation of the Safety Plan;
• Supervise the works of Safety Officers and their team;
• Attend Site Safety Management Committee Meetings, Site Safety Committee Meetings, and other meetings as required by the Project Manager;
• Participate in Weekly Safety Walks; and
• Carry out internal safety audits for the Safety Plan at intervals of not less than once every three months, which format, scope and programme are to be proposed and agree with the Project Manager, prepare action plan for the Contractor to follow up.

Requirements:

• Holder of acceptable university degree or equivalent qualification in Civil Engineering or construction-related discipline;
• Registered Safety Officer and Registered Safety Auditor under F&IU;
• At least 5 years construction site safety experience;
• Familiar with statutory and regulatory safety requirements;
• Good command of written and spoken English and Chinese.
