The Faculty of Health Sciences invites applications for the position of Research Assistant. The Research Assistant will assist in research projects, programmes and activities including but not limited to data collection, analysis, and documentation on developing and maintaining in-house electronic systems.

Initial appointment is up to 12 months with a possibility of renewal upon mutual agreement.

Qualifications

1. Bachelor’s degree or above in computer science or IT related majors;
2. Familiar with Python, Javascript and SQL in software development and web application development;
3. Proficient in computer systems, including PC building, Windows, macOS and Linux;
4. Experience with WordPress or website development in HTML, CSS, and/or Javascript;
5. Highly self-initiative and responsible, with the ability to work independently;
6. Good analytical and interpersonal skills.

The selected candidate is expected to assume duty as soon as possible.

Remuneration

Remuneration offered will be competitive and commensurate with the successful applicants’ academic qualification and relevant professional experience. The current local maximum income tax rate is 12% but is effectively around 5% – 7% after various discretionary exemptions.
